Cornelia Eichhorn was born in Erfurt, Germany in 1981 and studied cinema at the University of Paris VIII, before joining the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Since then she has participated in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad, notably at the Bertrand Grimont Gallery and the Christian Berst Gallery. She was a finalist for the European Photography Award at the Royal College of Art London in 2012, participated in the Imagen Festival in Colombia, the Cutlog Artist Film Festival in Paris (2013), the Parcours d'artistes Pontault-Combault in 2017, and at the Kunstfilmtage at the Kunstverein Rosenheim in Germany in 2019. In March 2021, Céline du Chéné invited her to talk about her work on the show Mauvais genres on France Culture. She won the Ekphrasis Scholarship in 2021 awarded by the Adagp, AICA France and the Quotidien de l’Art.
